ECG

LAB TEST

ECG

A quick, non-invasive test that records the heart’s electrical activity and detects irregularities.

What is a ECG?

An ECG (short for Electrocardiogram) is a medical test that measures the electrical activity of your heart to check how well it’s working.

How it works:

  • Your heart produces tiny electrical signals each time it beats.
  • In an ECG, small sticky electrodes are placed on your chest, arms, and legs.
  • These electrodes detect the signals, and a machine records them as a graph of waves on paper or a screen.
  • Standard 12-Lead ECG
  • Resting ECG for risk assessment
